Welcome to the website of St. Mary Protectress Ukrainian Catholic Church in Apopka, Florida. We are located 20 miles northwest of Orlando, and serve the entire Central Florida Region. This includes the communities of Apopka, Orlando and its surrounding tourism areas near Walt Disney World and Universal Studios, Daytona Beach, Melbourne, Clermont, Kissimmee, and many others.

We are a Catholic Church of the Ukrainian rite, which is one of the Eastern Rite churches, and are sometimes called the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. We are in full communion with the Pope of Rome, but preserve our wonderful Ukrainian / Byzantine traditions. We fall under the jurisdiction of Bishop John Bura in Parma, Ohio, which is part of the Philadelphia Archeparchy for Ukrainian Catholics in the United States. The head of our Church is Patriarch Lubomyr Husar (who is also a Cardinal of the Catholic Church) whose Patriarchal See is located in Kiev, Ukraine.  Click here for more information about Patriarch Husar and his visits to our parish.

If you would like to visit us and learn more about our traditional liturgy, please join us for a Sunday morning Divine Liturgy at 11:00 a.m. You can find directions to our church in the “Directions” tab near the upper left corner, or by clicking here.
